The Somali Development and Reconstruction Bank (SDRB) is established under Law No. 25 of 24 June 2014, which defines the Bank’s legal mandate, objectives, governance structure, and operational powers. The law positions SDRB as a national development finance institution mandated to support Somalia’s economic reconstruction, promote private sector–led growth, and finance priority productive sectors in line with national development goals and Islamic finance principles.
