Abdul Abdirahman

Mr. Abdul Abdirahman is a Principal at F-Prime Capital where he focuses on early-stage investments in business software and financial technology. He brings extensive experience across venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, and impact investing in both developed and emerging markets. Prior to joining F-Prime, he invested in technology startups across emerging markets and worked at Nala, a venture-backed digital banking and payments startup in East Africa. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and began his career with Ernst & Young in the New York and London offices, where he provided assurance and valuation services to global asset management clients.
Mr. Abdirahman is passionate about economic development and strengthening early-stage technology ecosystems. He has been actively engaged in supporting innovation across Africa and the Middle East, including the establishment of a venture capital fund dedicated to entrepreneurs in these regions. He also serves on the boards of several startups across North America, Latin America, and Africa.
Mr. Abdirahman holds dual B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Minnesota. He also earned joint MBA and MPA (International Development) degrees from Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Harvard Kennedy School, and pursued international studies at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in China, further broadening his global perspective on business, finance, and economic development.
